Naim Audio in the UK has over 46 years of exemplary audio design experience, and they continue to expand their offering to customers with their latest announcement. They have released a firmware upgrade that allows customers to add native Qobuz support to their streaming family. This upgrade will allow Naim owners to use their Naim control app to enjoy full access to Qobuz services including high-resolution streaming up to 24-bit/192kHz quality.
Qobuz offers an amazingly comprehensive music catalog available in 12 countries including the US. Their downloads include a wide range of albums in studio-quality high resolution. The Qobuz update is currently available for owners of:
- Uniti Atom
- Star
- Nova
- ND5 XS2, NDX2, and ND 555 network players
An update will follow for owners of Mu-so 2nd generation and Mu-so Qb 2nd generation speakers, but they can currently access the Qobuz service via Chromecast. Qobuz subscriptions can be obtained through the Naim control app available for iOS and Android devices.
