Key Upgrades in the La Scala MKIII:
• Power Transformers: Upgraded power transformers provide improved energy efficiency and stability, ensuring a cleaner and more robust power supply to the audio circuitry.
• Digital AQlink and USB Interfaces: Enhanced digital AQlink (I2S protocol) and USB interfaces offer superior data transmission, reducing jitter and preserving the integrity of the digital signal.
• Firmware for R2R Ladder DACs: The new firmware optimizes the performance of the discrete R2R ladder DACs, enhancing time coherence, microdynamics, and timbre for a more natural and immersive sound.
• Analog Board (Valve + MOSFET + Pilot Buffer): The redesigned analog stage features a hybrid Valve/MOSFET direct coupling in pure class-A without negative feedback, complemented by our newly developed Pilot Buffer. This innovation eliminates the need for output capacitors, ensuring perfect driving of the preamplifier at very low impedance without losses.
